Peter Buglass

This is Peter – the one holding the book.  The one reading is the smart one.

Peter’s first business was in ladies fashions where he learnt a lot and lost a bit.  At about the time the business closed he joined the Management Team of a national social housing provider.  Here he learnt about running large complex organisations, carried out an R&D role in development and finance and a business development role in London.  Next he joined a Building Society where he ran a subsidiary specialising in finance to house builders and wrote two new mortgage products.  He built the subsidiary from scratch designing and implementing new processes, sourcing and training new staff and bringing the business to life in a tight regulatory framework.  Then he went on to turn around a plc. building contractor.  The issue was cash flow and again new processes and tight financial controls were required.  The business was profitable again with 18 months.  Branching out on his own Peter set up a house builder and completed 86 homes across the North West.  Forced to liquidate following a lengthy dispute with an international company Peter learnt the hard way about dealing with creditors and a lot of good things about people, relationships and trust.  Since then Peter has helped others develop businesses, set up new businesses, designed other products and services with partners and generally amused and entertained himself in many areas of business and organisational development.  Peter was an early qualifier as a Chartered Director (one of the first 750 in the UK) and has years of executive and non-executive board experience on multi million pound companies.
